After 11 years, I returned to a place that I hold very close to my heart - South Africa. Driven this time by a mission to make a film for ThisWorld that showcases South Africa’s nature & wildlife, and the unsung heroes who dedicate their lives to its protection - The Black Mambas, the first all-female poaching unit in the world.

For all these years, my deep routed connection to South Africa’s wildlife has never faded, so this project held a profound personal significance, rekindling a deep-seated passion that has been with me since my earliest years. More than a mere return to familiar terrain, this endeavour served as a tribute to the unwavering dedication of those safeguarding South Africa’s breathtaking biodiversity. The documentary is not simply a visual treat; it serves as a poignant reminder of the profound interconnection between humanity and the natural world, urging collective action to ensure the preservation of our planet's irreplaceable wonders for the generations to come.
